Some were designed for specific events or shows (including the button for the SF Popfest show in May). On one (or two) occasions we even brought a button press to the venue and encouraged folks to personalize their Tullycraft button. Here are a few of the buttons I found around my house. I’m sure there are more designs than this, I’m certain I don’t have a complete collection. The movie is perhaps best known for being the only feature film ever written by Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss). At the movie's Hollywood premiere it was reported that some audience members walked out after only 15 minutes... and box office receipts were equally disappointing. Despite this, over the years the film has gained a cult following. I saw this movie on television when I was a kid and it actually kinda scared me (no joke). Flood was trying to break the reserve clause that had tied baseball players to one franchise since the establishment of professional baseball. Flood never played professional baseball again, but three years later, in 1975, an independent arbitrator ruled in a similar case brought by Andy Messersmith and Dave McNally that the men were free of their contractual obligations and could file for free agency. The film was directed by Joseph Mankiewicz and it starred: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Rex Harrison, Roddy McDowall and Martin Landau. The movie is infamous for nearly bankrupting 20th Century Fox. Originally budgeted at $2 million, it ended up costing $44 million (which would be $295 million in today's dollars), making the film the second most expensive after Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (which had a budget of $300 million). This was partly due to the fact that Cleopatra's elaborate sets, and props had to be constructed twice, once during a botched shoot in London and once more when the production relocated to Rome. Today we have the song Abdul and Cleopatra by JONATHAN RICHMAN from the album Back In Your Life. The three men were never seen again, and many believe that theirs was the only successful getaway from the famous penitentiary. The "official" report stated that the prisoners drowned in the cold waters of the bay while trying to reach the mainland. Clint Eastwood would later dramatized the event in the 1979 film, Escape From Alcatraz. It was the first movie containing four-letter words to be approved by the restrictive code. The Production Code was introduced in 1930 by the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA), an industry association created to avoid government censorship of the movies. The code deeply influenced the kinds of films that were made until the late 1960s, when the standards were revised in response to social change in the United States. In 1968, the code was replaced by the movie ratings system, which greatly expanded the range of subjects and content permissible for film. This got me thinking.... we should start this back up again. And while looking through our past posts, I noticed that we have received songs from all of the Tullycraft albums except Every Scene Needs a Center. What's up with that?! So, if you're in a band or know a band that covers a Tullycraft song (especially one from the Every Scene Needs a Center album) send it our way and we'll put it on the site.

Photos from SF

Last weekend Tullycraft played the San Francisco Popfest.
