I guess we can add BEN GIBBARD to the list of folks who have covered Beat Happening's Indian Summer. Others include: Luna, The Manhattan Love Suicides and Spiritualized. Honestly, I can't say I'm a huge fan of this version, but I love the song. If you're not familiar with the original... it's a classic!

I love indian summer! I've never heard any of the covers though. I can't imagine Ben Gibbard singing it though I guess I'll just have to listen.
what about the Eugenius indian summer cover off oomalama. that one was pretty sweet!

Oh Ben, you're tryin' waaay too hard!
Hmm, I like Ben's voice enough but I'm not much a fan of the instrumentals in the song. Too bad! I used to be crazy about his singing.
Oh! And of course the original is an amazing song, quite possibly my favorite Beat Happening songs (at least in the top five)
I may have to stop reading this blog if there are any more posts concerning Ben Gibbard. I find his music to be nauseating. But yes, Beat Happening is great.
Wasn't Jeff in a band called "Beat Happenin'" when he lived in Bellingham? Not to be confused with the band that used a "g".
